Bamboo Seeds

 

Bamboo seeds are what are used to plant one of the most economical resources that we have in the world today. There are so many used for the Bamboo tree that these bamboo seeds are always being planted in various places of the world to meet that needs that they are used for. People often like to keep Bamboo plants in small pots in their home and watch them grow because they are very beautiful. For seeds to be grown well and properly, they must be fresh seeds planted in the right kind of soil and climate.

 

The first thing to know about Bamboo seeds is that they need to be planted where the temperature is warm and also tropical weathered areas of the world. They can grow from several inches to about one hundred feet in size. There are a few different ways that a Bamboo seed can grow, which will determine the height of the tree. The Clumping Bamboo is the one that grows a bit short, and they can only handle a small amount of coldness; nothing below zero degrees or they will not survive. The other kind of Bamboos are known as the Running Bamboos; these are a lot more aggressive in personality and produce several offshoots. The culms of the Bamboo tree or what the long stem-like pole is, and this is where the leaves branch off. During the winter season, the leaves fall off, and between March and May, new leaves begin to sprout.

 

When the Bamboo seeds have fully grown to it’s height that the tree will remain for life, other culms will eventually grow like branches off the side of the main Culm. For the first few years after reaching its full height, the Bamboo plant will remain green and then it will start to get hard and wooded with tree bark. More leaves and branches will continue to develop over time in due season. The life span for the culms of a bamboo is usually up to five years.

 

If you plan on planting some Bamboo seeds yourself in your own garden or a small pot to start off with, you need to make sure that the soil is very moist, but not too watery, it should be drained well. It can even be grown in sand or some kinds or clay. To keep the Bamboo plant healthy, you will need to add some lawn fertilizer to it at least once per year around the month of February when the new sprouts are ready to appear.

 

You may have seen the Bamboo plants that have produced flowers somewhere in someone’s yard, or a magazine, or a nature channel. Just so that you are not having any high expectations of flowers, you should know that this is rare to happen. Most Bamboo seeds that are planted and grow are able to produce flowers, but it might take many, many years for that to happen. Even if it dead, the flowers are not good for your Bamboo plant and could cause it to die so you will need to remove them by using tons of lawn fertilizer with some method of irrigation.
